The equipment costs can be almost 50-100% more expensive for a geo thermal heat pump when the circulating pump, indoor piping, and water source heat pumps are considered. Generally the ground loop of the geo thermal system is the most expensive component. The rates of installing the ground loops also depend a lot on the drilling conditions and local labor rates. The geo systems are the systems that are used to provide heating to homes/buildings. These systems are also used to produce electricity. These systems have great potential in terms of cost savings and provide a pollution free means of heating.
